Important Registration information
Effective April 30, 2006 Chapter 609 of the Laws of 2005, the Snowmobile Rights and Responsibilities
Act, establishes a two-tier registration system. If you are a member of a snowmobile club that is a member of the New York State Snowmobile
Association (NYSSA), and have a New York State approved Proof of Club Membership Form, your
registration fee is $45. If you are NOT a member of a snowmobile club that is a member of NYSSA, the annual snowmobile
registration fee is $100. You must include the official Proof of Membership Form (voucher), only available from a NYSSA snowmobile club
with your registration application in order to get the club membership discount.
As you can see, it's actually cheaper to join a club and register your sled ($25 membership + $45 registration = $70) and your membership dues
help to support snowmobiling in New York as well as maintain the vast trail system that is avialable for everybody to use!
There are now 3 easy ways to join the Dairyland Snowmobile Club:
After receiving your membership application, your voucher will be mailed to you. Simply take the voucher with you to the DMV when you register your
sled, mail it in with your registration, or use the ID number found on the voucher for online sled registration.
